The Philippine provinces occasionally bring out celebrities from Manila to put on a concert for the people of that town and what often happens is the celebrity, in this case Rachelle Anne Go, will pick out a lucky guy from the audience to serenade him with a lovely ballad. Fortunately I was the lucky dude on this particular evening.

Being called up on stage by Rachelle Anne was the first of three different occasions under similar circumstances. I was not aware of what I was supposed to do so this video has a weird awkwardness to it.

This one is pretty gross to watch. KATBOY EPISODE 1 was a big hit on Myspace, which is where we posted the video, so Adam and I decided to create a second episode. Kill Bill Volume 1 had just come out and left a pretty big impression on us so as a tribute to QT, we tried to stylize it after him. The stock footage was taken years prior on a trip I took to Amsterdam. As you probably know, the RED LIGHT DISTRICT of the Dutch city is popular for its legalized marijuana and legal prostitution and even though it’s totally illegal, I was filming as much stuff as I possibly could being overly cautious ensuring I would not get caught. My friends and I went to a popular live sex show called Casarosso in the heart of the red light district. The front row seats were occupied by Japanese businessmen in suits so we had to settle for seats in the back row, which turned out perfect to keep my presence less conspicuous as I videotaped the entire show. And then the Katboy footage was just filmed at the PUENTE HILLS MALL.

Let’s get ready to RUMBLE!!!!! No literally. I really mean it for those of you in the Washington D.C./Virginia area because you have now been exposed to a natural phenomenon not common in that part of the country. For those of us on the west side, we take EARTHQUAKES very seriously. As serious as DAVID HASSELHOFF. From grade school up on till college, we practice drill after drill, which takes away from valuable class time, preparing for what might be the “Big One”. I know most of you on in D.C. probably have never felt an earthquake and to your surprise, we feel bigger jolts over here when ICP are in town, but startling nonetheless.

One can never predict when an earthquake will hit, unless you’re PSYCHIC. But one can always prepare for it. In getting ready for an earthquake, you want to make sure that you are always stocked up on food. Make sure they are canned in order to maintain a long shelf life. You never know how long you will need to depend on that food when the stores are closed down or empty from looting. And treat yourself. You don’t want to be on day 45 eating your 45th Spamwich.

Duck and cover under the closest table. In school, we simply duck under our own desk. When under your desk, you want to protect your neck and keep your desk from moving at the same time. So you simply use one hand to cover the back of your neck, and the other holding on to one leg of your desk. And while under there, go ahead and admire some of the DESK ARTWORK accumulated over the years.

So that’s about it. There was an earthquake today but it has nothing to do with the above video which is What Mike Saw #18.

This really sucks because the end of the world is coming and I only accomplished two or three things on my bucket list. When you’re a CHILD, you have great aspirations to take on any challenge presented before you. As you get older, all it takes is a CALIFORNIA DREAMS marathon and there goes seven hours of life. Well since this is the last day of the world, I wanted to fit in one more video before we are all judged before GOD. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, doomsday apostle, Harold Camping made a prediction that the world will come to an end on May 21, 2011. Harold is an ultra Christian DISC JOCKEY and president of Family Radio, which is a religious based broadcasting network located here in California. Camping was wrong about the rapture once before in 1994, but that was due to a mathematical error. Plus he’s made about $70,000,000 from this event. How could anyone with that much money be wrong?

This last day is unlike any other. But it’s not like the last day of high school when you write obscene things in your friend’s YEARBOOK expecting to see each other again after three months of summer vacation. It’s more like the cliché epiphany scene in a movie.

“Every passing minute is a chance to turn it all around.” – Vanilla Sky

“Today is the first day of the rest of you life.” – American Beauty

“Let’s kick some ice!” – BATMAN & ROBIN

So in celebrating all of our lives, I made this video for you all as a way to say, “have a bitch’n summer.” Also I called my friend who lives in Taiwan, which is the future and he said that everything is okay so far.

Fifty percent of my POSSE comes from the great city of Walnut. If you don’t know what or where that is, keep it that way! Don’t even bother doing a Google search on Walnut because we are such a secret society, you won’t find a THING. Us “Walnuteers” take pride in keeping the enigmatic mystery of our city a secret. But you know what? Because it isn’t raining today, I will give all you Walnut wannabees some of the inside scoop.

For one, the entire city is lined with the most immaculate horse trails any equestrian could wish for. We have a large equestrian community dispersed throughout the entire city. If you’re lucky, you can even catch one of the many afternoon fights that go down on any number of trails (back in my day anyway). Our schools don’t do so well in team sports like football, baseball, and basketball. But we are giants in the worlds of tennis and the ACADEMIC OLYMPIAD. And of course we have celebrities. Ever watch television shows like Family Ties or Family Matters? Well both TINA YOTHERS and the kid who plays EDDIE WINSLOW are both from the great city of Walnut. But the entertainers don’t stop at television. If you ever bobbed your freshly cut mullet to the hot beats of GERARDO, you were grooving to beats born and bred in Walnut, CA.

As you can see, you can’t blame us Walnuteers for wanting to keep our pleasant city on the hush. So that’s all I will tell you, for now.

This is the first What Mike Saw video (that I can recall) where the entire clip takes place in So-Cal. I inserted titles naming three distinct counties that I often frequent and if you are not from around here or you are planning to come visit sometime soon, allow this video to act as a starting point in building your itinerary since it is a good representation of these hot pockets all over town.

A middle aged man, dressed like a lawyer with a girthy mustache walks into his son’s dilapidated bedroom. He turns off his son’s Fisher audio set connected directly to his son’s headphones. He opens up a mysterious box. His son is startled and nearly farts in front of his father.

Father
Is this yours?

Son
Naa.

Father cuts him off.

Father
Your mother said she found it in your closet.

Son
I don’t know, one of the guys must of…

Father abruptly cuts him off again.

Father
MUST OF WHAT!

Son
Look dad it’s not mine…

Father
Where did you get it?

Simultaneously

Son
Dad it’s not mine

Father

Answer me!

Father
Who taught you to do this stuff?

Son
YOU ALL RIGHT! I LEARNED IT BY WATCHING YOU!

After witnessing these words performed in front of me as a seven year old during a THAT’S INCREDIBLE commercial break, I forever knew I wanted to be an actor. More specifically, science fiction movies are my passion. BTW, you can see the above dialogue live HERE.

This is the very first episode of the Katboy series. Initially, Katboy was a simple study on the Dutch film movement, “Dogme 95″. But over time with a growing fan base, Katboy quickly had a life of its own.

My homey Adam Nelson and I created 7 episodes of this spectacular series but we may only be allowed to show 6.

I had to do just a wee bit of research before posting this Vans/Yo Gabba Gabba thing on my site. Although I consider myself to be at the forefront of POP CULTURE, I’m ashamed to say that had no idea what the Nickelodeon hit TV show was all about. From what I can tell at first, it looked to be an H.R. PUFNSTUF type program for the 21st century toddler. In addition to that, it even has a guy who seems to be wearing CAZAL glasses, which is pretty sweet and somehow tells me that this guy is from the same generation of Pufnstuf. So my guess is that this show is homage to the good old days of children’s television. From my Google search, this show looks to be so popular that there are over 1.7 million pages of Yo Gabba Gabba content. That’s when I decided we must jump on this Yo Gabba Gabba bandwagon and maybe cash in on this phenomenon.

Anyone can easily confuse Yo Gabba Gabba with my favorite genre of music: Dutch Hardcore GABBER. For those of you not in the know, Gabber is a style of electronic music and a subgenre of hardcore techno. “Gabber” is a slang word of Yiddish origin that means, “mate”, “buddy” or “friend”. Although in the late 1980s a house variant from Detroit first reached AMSTERDAM and it was the producers and DJs from Rotterdam who evolved it into a harder house variant, which is today, know as “Gabber” style.

So wouldn’t it make sense to market the two? Gabber music and Yo Gabba Gabba can go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly. Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder. Speedos and CHIP N DALES. Now without further ado, it’s my pleasure to introduce to you my unauthorized contribution to YO “GABBER” GABBA” ( I didn’t shoot this).
